EARL GARIANDO COLLECTION
This show-stopping collection is a thoughtfully curated collaboration with Earl Gariando. The rich heritage of his handbags are inspired by the traditional Philippine Kalesa, a horse-drawn carriage used as a mode of transportation introduced to the islands in the 18th century by Spanish colonizers, and was initially reserved for only nobles and high-ranking civic officials. Mr. Gariando also draws creativity from classic religious icons, working with local master artisans from the native regions of Pampanga, Ilocos and Manila. The remarkable Repoussé technique and ornate beading skills used to design each handbag lends this artisan the highest respect in craftsmanship and innovation.
